We are seeking passionate and experienced Special Education Teachers to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with disabilities and providing inclusive education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other school staff.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Teach core academic subjects, such as math, reading, and writing, using specialized instruction techniques
- Use assistive technology, accommodations, and modifications to support students' access to the curriculum
- Collaborate with other school staff, including general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers, to support students' academic and social-emotional needs
- Conduct ongoing assessment and progress monitoring to inform instruction and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and behavior
- Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities as required
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Arizona teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary clearances
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other school staff
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations
This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate and benefits package. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with hours to be determined by the school's needs.
