Position Summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU provides exceptional patient-centered care by utilizing the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. As an RN, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch care based on established protocols while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following all established protocols.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients and accurately document findings.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor for any side effects.
  • Assist physicians during procedures as per your competency level.
  • Work collaboratively to develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans.
  • React promptly to medical emergencies and engage in life-saving measures as necessary.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and needs during care delivery.
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions and care plans.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to safeguard patient health.
  • Utilize medical equipment safely and effectively as needed.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
  • Document all aspects of patient care promptly and thoroughly.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical competencies.
  • Qualifications :

  • 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or applicable student rotations.
  • Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Proficiency in the nursing process and clinical practices.
  • Strong assessment skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage complex medical equipment and administer treatments.
  • Attention to detail in documentation and adherence to safety standards.
  • Licensure and Certifications :

  • Valid RN license (State Licensure or Compact State Licensure required).
  • BCLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred.
