Open Rank Teaching Professor Position in Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Samueli School of Engineering at University of California, Los Angeles, invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor at all ranks (officially called Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment, Lecturer with Security of Employment, and Senior Lecturer with Security of Employment).
This is a permanent position, analogous to tenure-track, with Academic Senate membership and an expectation of participation in governance and management of the university's educational program through committee service, curriculum development, and administration.
The nominal teaching load is six courses per year on a quarter system. To supporting the needs of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
Applicants must have a demonstrated record of excellence in, or show exceptional promise for, high-quality research, teaching, and professional development.
These areas include, but are not limited to, Circuits and Embedded Systems, Physical and Wave Electronics, and Signals and Systems.
The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has a commitment to fostering an inclusive and more equitable environment and promoting the success of underrepresented students.
Teaching and service expectations will not exceed those of other faculty positions.
A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree is required by the date of hire.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and / or step at appointment. The salary range for this position is $115,000-$130,000.
Off-scale salaries and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
