Feldman Kramer & Monaco, a dynamic law firm located in Syracuse and Hauppauge NY, is seeking a self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented Associate to join our progressive, innovative team in Westchester, New York.

Requirements : 3 years Wills & Estate experience. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter with extensive client contact (including visiting clients' offices) and possess strong writing skills. This position has no billable hours or caseload; it will primarily consist of executing Will Contracts.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Advises clients concerning Trusts, & Estate matters and transactions, liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
  • Advises clients on asset protection.
  • Interprets laws, rulings and regulations.
  • Prepares and drafts legal documents, such as wills, trusts, deeds, estate documents and contracts.

    • Skills and abilities :

  • Detailed knowledge of Wills & Estate Laws.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, logical reasoning and research skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service and personal service orientation.
  • Ability to ask pertinent questions, actively listen to answers and synthesize information to formulate advice based on sound judgment and knowledge of the law and legal precedence.
  • Ability to keep client and Firm matters confidential.

    • Education and Experience required :

  • Juris Doctor Degree plus admission to state bar.
  • Minimum three years of experience working as an attorney in Wills & Estate Law.
