Pay Information

$240 to $250 per hour

About The Position

Medical Center is looking for a Locum OB / GYN Hospitalist to start on December 24, 2025 !!

Schedule :

  • Start date : December 24, 2025
  • Patient Contact Hours : 7a-7a
  • Shift length : 24 hours (required)
  • 6.5 shifts per month
  • On Call : 24 / 7 (in house call. call rooms are available.)

Details :

  • Inpatient : Yes
  • Telehealth : No
  • Supervision of APPs expected : No
  • Number of exam rooms per provider : 8 bed OBED
  • Medical Imaging : Yes
  • Lab & Pharmacy : Yes
  • Clinic provider daily volume : 1389 visits to OBED per year, roughly 463 result in deliveries
  • MFM will be on call. There are residents but the OB Hospitalist will not be in charge of them.
  • No GYN responsibilities
  • EMR : Epic

    • Job Responsibilities :

  • OBED patients
  • Emergent patients (vaginal deliveries and C-sections)
  • Patients without primary OBGYN
  • Only maternity transport team in Iowa

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certified in OB / GYN -  REQUIRED (can accept truly board eligible candidates)
  • Active IA License  (STRONGLY preferred)  or Active IMLC -  REQUIRED
  • Physician must be able to start December 24, 2025 - REQUIRED
  • Clean Malpractice / Background  - REQUIRED

    • All travel, lodging, car rental or mileage coverage with tails are covered.
