Licensure / Certification Qualifications :

Nocturnist

Virginia, MN

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

Physician-led organization

Shifts are one week on - two weeks off; 7 : 00 pm 7 : 00 am

ICU coverage; including ventilator management

Nocturnists provide cross cover, code and rapid response, and admissions

Provide tele-hospitalist coverage, including admissions, for other Essentia Health East Market Critical Access Hospitals

Opportunities to participate in hospital-based research, quality, and clinical initiatives

Friendly, collegial environment with 1 physician and 1 Advanced Practice Provider on day shifts

Full laboratory; radiology to include MRI and CT services

Procedures not required

Essentia Health Virginia Hospital is a 30-bed hospital, Level IV Trauma Center, and certified Stroke Ready facility

On-campus multi-specialty clinic includes : Primary Care with Integrated Behavioral Health, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Obstetrics / Gynecology, Occupational Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, Consultative Pediatrics, General Surgery, and numerous visiting specialties

Close collaboration with the Essentia Health Duluth specialists and hospitalists

EPIC as EMR that is integrated with the entire Essentia system

REQUIREMENTS

BC / BE in Internal Medicine

BC / BE in Family Medicine with strong interest and experience in hospital-based care (opportunity for mentorship)
