Job Summary :

With a strong focus on continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing principles, this position will be responsible for production, supply chain, maintenance, and EH&S, working closely with cross-functional leaders in Quality, R&D, Customer Service, Sales, and Finance to ensure optimal cost, quality, and speed to market. In addition, this position will take responsibility for facility performance, including team leadership, KPIs, continuous improvement initiatives, capacity upgrades, construction & expansions, and COGs.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities :

  • Provides overall leadership for manufacturing operations by developing and implementing operational strategies, managing daily operations, ensuring a safe working environment, providing ongoing coaching and visibility on the floor, driving productivity, and supporting processes to ensure quality products are delivered on time and in full at the lowest total cost.
  • Ensures processes and behaviors create a culture where colleagues live our values and execute upon our company mission. Drive employee engagement by addressing issues and creating an environment where all employees contribute and are comfortable speaking up.
  • Lead TPM / Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs to reduce costs, improve productivity, increase reliability, reduce waste, and improve quality
  • Oversee the site budget (fixed and variable costs) and capital plan (infrastructure) to support the company's business plan.
  • Facilitate the efficient use of raw materials in the conversion to finished goods for our customers. Provide leadership, coaching, and development of team members, ensuring a high-performing team, recruiting, and retaining talent.
  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional colleagues to ensure seamless production. Reviews and evaluates operating procedures to achieve and maintain high levels of process quality, consistency, and accountability to optimize production and utilization of personnel and equipment.
  • Actively participates in customer strategic and tactical goals as well as site visits.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies :

  • A clear 'bias for action' and sense of urgency to operate within a fast-paced and entrepreneurially minded organization.
  • A willingness and ability to display a 'roll up the sleeves' approach, engaging in driving tactical execution when necessary.
  • Demonstrated functional expertise in supply chain, including procurement, logistics, and S&OP.
  • Experience in maintenance and technical programs that support production operations.
  • Development and execution of strategic plans
  • Strong financial acumen and full P&L literacy. Able to partner with cross-functional partners (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance) to drive performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • Highly developed analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Enthusiastic leader with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated track record of strong employee engagement with strong listening and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated customer interaction skills supporting their strategic and tactical objectives
  • Industry and Work Experience :

  • 10-15 years of manufacturing leadership experience required
  • Pharmaceutical or cosmetic manufacturing experience preferred
  • FDA, ISO 22716, or related cosmetic quality experience preferred
  • Academic :

  • Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in engineering or a manufacturing-related field
