Kernodle Clinic, a progressive and well-respected multi-specialty group practice with locations in Burlington, Mebane, and Elon, is seeking a full-time IT Desktop Support Technician to join our Information Technology Department at our Kernodle Clinic West location (1234 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington, NC 27215).

This position plays a critical role in supporting clinic operations by providing field technical support, troubleshooting unique hardware / software issues, and ensuring high-quality IT service delivery. The IT Desktop Support Technician will also assist in training, installations, and ongoing customer support to maintain system efficiency and end-user satisfaction.

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Experience supporting PC hardware / software, printers, peripherals, LAN, and voice systems preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring effective use of IT resources within organizational policies
  • Resolve escalated issues from the Help Desk and assist with second-level problem resolution
  • Track and document all service tickets using the IT ServiceNow tracking system
  • Deploy, configure, and support hardware and software in alignment with company standards and policies
  • Deliver user training, guidance, and support to promote awareness of IT security and acceptable use practices
  • Maintain advanced technical skills across PC operating systems, applications, printers, peripherals, and communications equipment to provide reliable desktop and LAN / voice support
  • Assist with installations, emergency repairs, and periodic customer check-ins to ensure continued satisfaction
