Restaurant Kitchen Manager
Seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person who would like to join the kitchen team of a creative and unique food environment! We are a retail business focused on providing customers convenience, flexibility and variety in putting together nutritious meals that everyone at the table will enjoy.
We have a specialty retail shop and recently added a sandwich bar, which features a small but carefully crafted menu of tasty, healthy globally inspired lunch options.
We are looking for a talented kitchen leader to oversee the operation.
Duties :
- Collaborate with the owner in the development of new menu items (sandwiches, salads & soups only) and perfecting new recipes
- Formalize new recipes and set quality standards; ensure consistency in production
- Develop and execute recipes for events and catering engagements
- Maintain and follow correct inventory storage procedures and manage supplier ordering schedule
- Assume responsibility for costing reports
- Manage the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized work area
- Enforce all safety and sanitation procedures
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with or interest in global comfort food trends
