General Placement Service is currently seeking a Senior Medical Malpractice Underwriter to work on a hybrid basis in the Chicago, Stamford and Atlanta areas.
Our client is a top Fortune 500 specialty insurance company with locations nationwide.
This role will focus on underwriting Primary and Excess Medical Malpractice risks including physician groups, outpatient and allied health facilities.
Responsibilities :
- Underwrite new and renewal business throughout the specified territory
- Analyze individual risks to determine acceptability of accounts
- Adhere to established underwriting guidelines
- Meet with agents to promote and cross-sell company products
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure company growth and success
Qualifications :
- 3+ years of Medical Malpractice underwriting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and industry designations such as CPCU preferred
- Ability to travel
