Day Kimball Healthcare is hiring for an Administrative Nursing Supervisor (RN) for the Part Time Evening Shift Patient Staffing job in Putnam, CT.
As the Administrative Nursing Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN), you will be the administrative representative in charge on assigned shift during absence of hospital and Patient Care Services Administration.
Provides administrative and complex clinical leadership. Utilizes clinical and administrative expertise to lead, support, and supervise personnel and ensure that standards are met.

Administrative Nursing Supervisor Job Responsibilities :
- Performs duties for other hospital departments when they are closed.
- Performs the functions of administrative supervisor for Evening, Night, or Weekend staff in all departments. Ensures patients are admitted to units as per policies.
- Serves as a clinical resource person for staff members, providing leadership and supporting staff development.
- Serves as a patient advocate, challenging patient care when care is deemed actually or potentially harmful.
- Initiates measures to contain costs, especially manpower, while maintaining adequate staffing levels.
- Contributes to the cohesiveness of the hospital and facilitates inter-unit and intra-unit functioning and behavior by acting as a liaison in the discussion and resolution of inter-unit and intra-unit issues.
- Completes performance reviews on assigned employees and contributes to performance evaluations of other employees as requested.
- Ensures a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
Administrative Nursing Supervisor Education and Experience Requirements :
- Licensed and currently registered in the State of Connecticut as a Professional Nurse required.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing or certification in a specialty preferred.
- Five years current acute care nursing experience required.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in med / surg and critical care preferred.
- One year's experience in a leadership position preferred.
