Below are a few of the Principle Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage the accounts receivable function, cash processing, cash applications, and collections, serving as an ultimate point of escalation on account receivable issues.
- Manage the accounts payable function that processes vendor bills and credit cards, ensures accurate coding of expenses, obtains approvals on bills and payment runs, processes weekly payment runs, collaborate with the accounts receivable team and customer service on policyholder refunds, and management of vendor relations, serving as an ultimate point of escalation on accounts payable issues.
- Manage day to day relationships with banking partner (s)
- Requesting / implementing new services and / or improvement of services
- Maintaining the Corporate Credit Card Program
- Manage weekly cash balance and forecasting reporting process.
- Support month-end close and the preparation and production of various internal and external management and statutory reports as required.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all external and internal reports prepared by staff.
- Review of journal entries and account reconciliations as it relates to accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash.
- Support budget vs. actual analysis.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong management, mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Ability to define priorities for self and team.
- Is a team builder and is able to adjust style to other team members to facilitate training and effective teamwork.
- Possesses excellent communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills.
- Computer software knowledge : Excel, Word, Outlook, SAS, SQL, computer knowledge to help troubleshoot with employees.
- Excel in ability to read, analyze and interpret data and reports, and accounting and other governmental regulations.
- Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence, and prepare presentations.
- Strong experience in accounting, data and analytics and investment knowledge.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various levels of internal managers, vendors, government and other agencies, customers, and the public.
- Strong experience in ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Deals with confidential information and / or issues using discretion and judgment.
