ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Senior Systems Engineer will perform the following essential functions :

• Apply broad technical knowledge and skills in multiple technical / scientific disciplines to the analysis, specification, planning, development, design, integration, testing, and production of complex electronic products designed to operate in the space environment
• Support project execution by collaborating in a multidisciplined team environment to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment
• Apply systems engineering methodology and best practices
• Prepare systems engineering cost estimates, project schedules, and CDRL / SDRL items
• Perform system requirements compliance assessments, assignment and decomposition, verification approach development, etc.
• Support system architecture and design activities, including system level trade studies, requirements management, technical performance measure tracking, managing system interfaces, etc.
• Investigate and resolve system level issues
• Support system compliance verification, including : system analyses; procedure development for inspection, demonstration and test;

system integration and test

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Certification : STEM Bachelor’s, Master’s, and / or PhD

Career Experience : 7+ years relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Understanding of space industry product development life cycle
• Experience in use of executing Systems Engineering methodology
• Fluent in multiple relevant technical / scientific domains and can work through complex issues across engineering disciplines
• Strong communication skills and team player
• Must be a U / S. person for exposure to export-controlled information; desire for U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

• Communication : Frequent communication with other employees. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Repetitive Motion : Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Average Visual Abilities : Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, and / or operate machinery.
• Physical Strength : Sedentary work; must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs.
