OverviewAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Physical Therapists (PT) to support VA St.

Louis Health Care System operations. Various PRN and full-time shift schedules covering multiple local area VA healthcare facilities and outpatient clinics are available.

Highly competitive compensation packages are available to qualified candidates.The PT will provide onsite clinical services for the VA St.

Louis Health Care System. They will perform duties in an inpatient acute care, outpatient, and rehabilitation setting. The PT will conduct physical therapy assessments / evaluations and develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans for patients with diagnosis including but not limited to orthopedics, neurologic, cardiovascular and pulmonary, geriatric, wound care / lymphedema, and chronic pain.

  • ResponsibilitiesHours : Multiple shifts available. Full time and part time (PRN) opportunities available.Perform the following evaluations : formal musculo-skeletal evaluation;
  • physical therapy evaluation; general therapy screenings; prosthetic and adaptive equipment evaluation and assessment; aquatic therapy;

wheelchair seating; pelvic health and positioning; and home evaluations.Formally and informally assess the patient’s physical, functional, psychosocial and emotional needs and use that information to develop a comprehensive and dynamic treatment plan which will enable each patient to achieve optimal levels of function in self-care, activities of daily living, work and leisure.

Implement plans in accordance with the initial evaluation findings for treatment aimed at prevention, reducing disability or pain, restoring lost function and increase participation.

Physical Therapy treatment includes : Therapeutic exercisesNeuromuscular re-educationGait analysis and trainingFunctional activity trainingPrevention / Treatment of painAdaptive equipment evaluation and prescriptionElectric Modalities, hot / cold packsWound / LymphedemaPelvic HealthAquatic TherapyWheelchair seating and positioningMonitor the extent to which services have met the therapeutic goals relative to the initial and all subsequent assessments at each visit.

Provide education to patients, families, and / or significant others regarding deficits incurred and interventions to reduce the existing deficit, and management of any residual deficit in the resumption of life roles in the home and community environment at each visit.

Perform chart review prior to scheduled appointment and obtain a subjective history of patients assigned.Consult with other physical therapists, physicians, other therapists and medical personnel, patients, family and / or caregivers to maximize benefit of therapy program.

Use computerized patient record system and other computerized data systems.QualificationsMinimum two years of hospital experience or two years of ambulatory care experienceCurrent American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationCurrent, full, active, and unrestricted license as a therapist in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of ColumbiaPhysical Therapist education and degrees must be recognized by the U.

S.
