Systems Administrator - Philadelphia

Zentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and one of the leading brand manufacturers of jams, sweets, and custard-based desserts.

The Company's North America operations are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Plymouth, Indiana, where we produce fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers.

We are currently looking to recruit a Systems Administrator for our Philadelphia location.

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the monitoring, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers on the Zentis network.

This person will provide level two support in a helpdesk environment and assist staff in the use of computer hardware, software, network, and phone services through verbal and electronic communications.

They will also assist in monitoring and maintenance of the server and network infrastructure as well as provide support for other IT projects.

This position requires an individual with good communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent problem-solving skills.

This person should have a willingness for continued development and to learn about a wide variety of technologies.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Provide level two support to the Zentis end-users and IT technicians when help is needed.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Ensure security and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.
• Actively resolve problems with company computers and servers to increase system dependability at Zentis.
• Keep systems within the Zentis infrastructure patched and maintained.
• Test, patch, troubleshoot, and tune computers, servers, and related systems for optimum performance.
• Manage wired & wireless networks.
• Manage servers and roles hosted on them.
• Set up accounts and workstations.
• Monitor server backups and performing restores as needed.
• Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues regarding scanners, printers, conference hardware and mobile devices.
• Administer Microsoft 365 applications.
• Oversee technology tools for managing systems, documenting assets, etc.
• Keep departmental documentation up to date.
• Create new departmental documentation when necessary.
• Provide end-user training where needed.
• Work closely with Director of IT on all IT policies, procedures, and projects.
• Streamline company processes and systems to increase productivity and improve efficiency using tools like Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Forms, etc.

Formal Education Required :

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Specific Experience and Key Knowledge Requirements :

Candidates for this position should have strong knowledge and a minimum 2 years’ experience with a relevant degree or 4 years with lower-level training or certification in the following areas :

• Microsoft Windows Client and Server Operating Systems.
• System Management and Administration.
• Virtual Technologies.
• Active Directory Administration.
• DNS, DHCP, GPO, File & Print.
• Microsoft 365 Administration.
• Understanding of network TCP / IP, switch configurations and firewall settings.
• Working with MDM solutions such as IBM Maas360 or Microsoft Intune.
• Support for business-critical systems.
• Powershell Scripting is a plus but not required.
• Hands on experience with RMM tools is a plus but not required.
