We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

The Sr. Technical Project Manager sits under the Portfolio & Program Strategy team which has end to end ownership of the planning, funding, portfolio, and program management of critical technical initiatives.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering large-scale Ecommerce software development projects across multiple disciplines within an assigned portfolio.

This position blends program, project management and delivery along with coaching and development of team members. It requires finance and business acumen.

What You Will Do

Job Description

Develop and manage the project scope, timelines, risks, and quality management across the entire project lifecycle (initiation through completion).

Successfully develops and maintains project budgets and ensures their delivery in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Maintains monthly forecast submissions, including making adjustments as needed to resource allocations, vendor payment schedules, and forecast for partner teams.

Conducts regular program status meetings with all partners, keeping needs and requirements continuously in view.

Builds program presentations and reports for management, executives, sponsors, and partners.

Works with resource managers for weekly or monthly allocations of project team

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of 5 years of experience successfully managing complex technical program / projects.

Experience with budget tracking, including actuals vs. forecast, submitting forecasts, and providing variance explanations.

Adept at leading and prioritizing projects in a program and working seamlessly with distributed teams.

Hands-on experience with Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies.

Possesses good interpersonal skills, communication (written and verbal), time management skills, and attention to detail.

Knowledge of Agile Application Lifecycle Management and development tools like JIRA, Confluence Wiki

PMP Certification

Education

Bachelor’s degree and / or equivalent work experience
