Material Handler Machine Operator

Paper and Box Manufacturing Company URGENTLY hiring a Machine Operator and Forklift Operator for Career Opportunity

Located : Wayne, NJ

Pay : $21 / hour ; Overtime : $31.50 / hour (A Lot Of Overtime is Available)

Shift : 6am-2 : 30pm (Monday-Friday)

Job Functions

• Candidate will work at the Pompton warehouse and will operate the pack size machine (makes corrugate boxes) and back up material handlers (2 on site now)
• Operate and maintain pack size machinery
• Organize and maintain corrugated inventory
• Operates propane or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forks and clamps to lift, stack, or move product, equipment, or materials between loading, processing, and storage areas in a warehouse or factory.
• Moves levers, turns steering wheel, and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus
• Stages load for transport by stacking, arranging, and securing loads
• Positions forks and other lifting devices under or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, rolls, products, or materials and transports load to designated area
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device
• May supply production with materials as needed
• Unloads and loads tractor trailers when required
• May manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices
• Tends and replenishes automatic shrink bell
• May weigh materials or product and record weight and other production data on tags, labels, or shipping paperwork
• Examines contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, bill of lading, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipment
• May enter, transcribe, record, or maintain information in either written form or electronically
• Performs routine inspections on vehicles and auxiliary equipment

Job Requirements

• Manufacturing experience preferred, along with 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Prior experience operating a forklift a plus
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent attendance, be able to work independently and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
