Job Title : Auto Body Shop Estimator

As an Auto Body Shop Estimator, you will play a vital role in the life-cycle of body shop repairs. If on-boarded, you'll be tasked with accurately assessing and estimating the cost of vehicle repairs and communicating that information to both, the appropriate insurance companies and customers alike.

Additionally you'll provide our customers with any pertinent information throughout the repair process.

Job / Tasks Description :

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damages, including dents, scratches, frame damage, and mechanical issues.
  • Accurately document all damages found through conducting comprehensive inspections.
  • Utilize your expertise and knowledge of repair techniques to accurately estimate the cost of repairs, including labor, materials, and additional services.
  • Accurately communicate with repair team to ensure they can repair said damages within the cost estimates you've provided.
  • Contact insurance adjusters / third-party representatives to negotiate fair compensation, prior to our engaging in any repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the life-cycle of the repair process, promptly addressing any questions or concerns as they arise.

Requirements :

  • Previous experience in automotive repair estimation is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive mechanics, body repair techniques, and industry standards.
  • Ability to meticulously inspect vehicles and identify all damages accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be confidently capable of explaining complex technical concepts to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must possess people skills and be able to interact professionally with all customers, insurance adjusters, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in learning / using estimating software and other basic office applications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification from relevant automotive organizations (e.g., I-CAR certification) is a plus.
