Senior Interior Designer
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and design projects through completion with minimal review and supervisionPrepare and coordinate the design team if applicableConceptualize and create design ideas through 3D visualization, mood boards and hand sketchingDevelop space plans, project budget, schedule and programming documentationSelections and specifications of finish materials and furnitureCreate and manage time and materials budgets for projectsTrack time using Studio Designer softwarePrepare design and construction documents to generate detailed design solutionsCommunicate with clients, contractors, and consultantsPerform site visits to provide Construction AdministrationLead project meetings & client presentationsOrganize and prioritize projects and assist with organizing team members, tasks and meetingsAdminister contract documents, bids & negotiations including construction administrationReview shop drawings and submittalsMentoring and management of junior and intermediate designersKnowledge of building codes and building systems5 years minimum experienceAdditional QualificationsCommercial and residential interior design experience requiredConstruction knowledge and Construction Administration (CA) experience requiredExcellent oral, written and graphic communication skillsRun design projects on time and on budgetStrong knowledge of the design process including specification of materials, FF&E, and project managementProficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Asana, Slack and Microsoft OfficeDesire and ability to work in a creative, service-oriented environment and prioritize while performing on multiple projects simultaneouslyResilient to coping with client demands & able to prioritize duties and work effectivelyTeam-orientedMust be able to work independently with little supervision and track time in detailEducationBachelor's Degree in Interior DesignNCIDQ preferred, but not requiredThe description reflects the core activities of the role but is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities and activities for the position.
