Goldman Sachs Alternatives seeks a strategic partner to lead all financial activities of a newly formed suite of Infrastructure-focused, open-ended, semi-liquid investment vehicles (both European and US).
Responsibilities will include managing fund liquidity across inflows and outflows, pacing of deployment in addition to all accounting, reporting, tax, liquidity, liability management and financial planning for the investment vehicles.
Including regulatory reporting and striking monthly net asset values. The individual will also support corporate strategy, annual business planning, preparation of committee meeting materials, and external and internal audit processes.
The individual will report into the CFO function of the Asset Management Private Funds business and will be closely aligned with the Infrastructure investing team.
The individual will serve as a critical point of contact for investors and other external constituents.
Specific responsibilities include :
- Oversight of and accountability for all financial activities of a newly formed suite of Infrastructure-focused, open-ended, semi-liquid investment vehicles, including subscriptions and redemptions, accounting, reporting, tax, liquidity, liability management and operational matters
- Partnering with Infrastructure business to understand pipeline, portfolio and strategy, provide insights to facilitate effective decision making, anticipate issues, and drive superior performance of the investment vehicles
- Ensuring the timely and accurate filing and reporting of all financial and other business obligations for the investment vehicles, supported by robust processes and procedures with the support of the internal Goldman Sachs finance and controllers teams
- Reporting financial results to executive team and advisory board, as applicable
- Mitigating key elements of financial and operating risk by establishing and monitoring key control tools and systems
- Maintaining relationships with banks, fund administrator, external auditor and other external constituents

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, possess deep business and financial acumen, and be highly engaged in driving the success of the business.
He or she should be a hands-on team player, proactive, deadline focused, process oriented and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Additional qualifications include :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or an MBA; CPA preferred but not required
- Prior experience and strong financial acumen in alternative investments
- Minimum experience of 10 years
- Understanding of the US regulatory framework applicable to open-ended, semi-liquid investment vehicles
- Experience in Chief Financial Officer or Chief Accounting Officer roles or teams would be accretive
