OVERVIEW :

The End User Computing Engineer I participates in the administration and assistance in the execution of the Mountain Park Health Center (MPHC) End User Computing (EUC) strategy.

This role works closely with the End User Computer Engineer II & III on administration and maintenance of all end user devices including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other related tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Assists in identifying corporate information technology requirements and collaborates in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of EUC solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Administrator knowledge and ability to implement and develop tools to effectively manage the EUC devices and user environments including software delivery, asset management and OS updates and changes.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of a unified end-point configuration standard to ensure hardware and software compatibility
  • Collaborate with other IT groups such as Security, Service Desk, enterprise software management teams, and others to assist in the implementation and maintenance of solutions to the end users and resolve any identified issues.
  • Adheres to documentation and processes in relation to EUC and Service Desk. Responsible assisting and with PC Desktop Support including some hands-on problem solving.
  • Acts as a first-tier escalation point for the Service Desk team in support of EUC managed equipment and software.
  • Administrator knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and developing strategies for management, control, and delivery.
  • Administration level Microsoft Server, virtualization, and network support assistance in relation to delivery of EUC technologies and management tools.
  • Adheres to and assists in the oversight of a software’s approval process, approved software library, and the mechanisms to distribute, limit, and control software installed on all EUC related devices.
  • Monitor and report on the EUC health, identifying issues, ensuring proper patching levels, and resolving identified problems.
  • This position requires consistent, in-person attendance. However, based on the employee’s performance and the specific task the employee is accomplishing, limited remote work may be permissible.
  • Travel to multiple locations during shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of IT experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Internal candidates must be a Desktop Support Specialist III or higher for a minimum of 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • At least 1 year of EUC administration experience
  • Administrator knowledge understanding of EUC management tools and best practices
  • Administrator knowledge understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office 365 management and best practice
  • Administrator knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, MS Azure AD, and other workstation and mobile device management tools
