Overview :

Kimley-Horn's Orange office is seeking an Aviation Project Manager with 8+ years of experience to join their Aviation team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities :

Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction

In addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include managing projects, project design and permitting, construction coordination, and coordinating work with other team members

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects

Maintaining a high degree of quality sets of plans along with checking the work of others

Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers, planners, and designers on a variety of projects

You will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships

You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors

Qualifications :

8+ years of aviation engineering design experience

Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)

Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating

Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and Engineering Briefs

Familiarity with pavement design and FAARFIELD design software

Strong desire and passion to be engaged with clients solving project problems and working with the team to deliver

Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience

Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

Salary Range : $125,000 to $165,000
