BlueHalo is seeking a highly skilled Threat Systems Analyst to join our team! This role focuses on providing threat signature development and modeling support to the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Modeling and Simulation Directorate’s Threat Modeling Center (TMC).
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with MDA and external stakeholders to determine threat needs for Integrated Master Test Plan events.
- Coordinate with MDA / DEI and Intel Production Centers to secure intelligence assessments and reference data for kinematic, RF, and IR threat models.
- Review intelligence data and evaluate Threat Model Requirements Documents; provide change recommendations.
- Offer verification and validation of kinematic, RF, and IR models produced by contractors, articulating change recommendations.
- Work with stakeholders and contractors to develop event verification documentation, comparing threat models to intelligence assessments.
- Identify and address gaps in threat data generation capabilities, with an emphasis on technological improvements in ablation, RF, EO, and IR signatures.
- Collaborate with the MDA Core Truth Models team to evaluate software supporting threat signature requirements.
- Integrate efforts with MDA teams to achieve Modeling and Simulation (M&S) objectives for MDA events and real-world activities.
- Support TMC M&S threat software development for integrated threat production (kinematic and signature threat data).
- Represent government interests in technical discussions and assist Intelligence Community and warfighters with threat data needs.
- Investigate and recommend innovative approaches to enhance threat product quality and reduce schedule risks.
Required
- Master’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree and 20+ years of relevant experience.
- Active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS / SCI.
- Strong skills in creative thinking, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse engineering team.
- Proficiency in conveying complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Teams).
- Travel approx. 15%.
Preferred
- Familiarity with kinematics, radar cross-section, infrared data, and relevant software for threat stimulus data production.
