CAI) is a private, non-profit corporation created in 1976 to promote the education and social welfare of children and families and to advocate on their behalf.
Our programs include resource and referral services for families seeking childcare, child care subsidies for qualifying families, recruitment and professional development of the child care workforce, and family education and support.
We are seeking individuals who are highly organized, have the ability to multi-task, provide excellent customer service, have good problem-solving skills and have the ability to understand the problems and issues facing families from a variety of ethnic and economic communities.

Position Purpose & Scope : Under the direction of the Communications Officer, the Outreach Specialist is responsible for promoting Child Action Inc.
s services and programs to the community.
This role involves engaging with various stakeholders, including families, child care providers, community organizations, and policymakers, to increase awareness and utilization of Child Action Inc.s resources.
Additionally, the Outreach Specialist will focus on building brand awareness and driving positive brand perceptions through various marketing and promotional activities.
Acting as a liaison between the agency and our target audiences, the Outreach Specialist will ensure that the brand message is consistently communicated and represented, and that customer interactions align with the agencys values and objectives.
The Outreach Specialist will develop and implement outreach strategies to enhance the visibility of the organization and support its mission of improving the quality and availability of child care services.
Typical Duties : Develop and implement comprehensive outreach plans to promote Child Action, Inc.s programs and servicesBuild and maintain relationships with community partners, child care providers, and other stakeholdersOrganize and participate in community events, fairs, workshops, and meetings to disseminate information about Child Action, Inc.
Draft and distribute promotional materials, including brochures and flyers Produce content for Child Action, Inc social media channelsConduct presentations and informational sessions for various audiences, including parents, child care providers, and community organizationsCollect and analyze data on outreach activities to measure effectiveness and inform future strategiesProvide technical information and guidance to families and child care providers regarding available resources and servicesMaintain detailed records of all event contacts and outreach activitiesCollaborate with other team members to integrate outreach efforts with overall organizational goalsParticipate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications, Knowledge, Abilities : Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g., Communications, Public Relations, Early Childhood Education, Social Work).
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeMinimum of two years of experience in community outreach, public relations, or a related fieldStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, email marketing, and other relevant software applicationsKnowledge of early childhood education and child care systems is preferredAbility to plan, organize, and execute outreach activities and eventsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to work evenings and weekends as neededValid drivers license and ability to travel within the community Capable of managing and producing multiple projects simultaneously Ability to understand child care related problems and issues facing families from a variety of ethnic and economic communities and provide information and services in a respectful and empathetic manner
