About The Position
Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist Job Specialty : Speech Therapy Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 8-Hour Days Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Not specified License : Required Certifications : Required Must-Have : Experience in pediatric speech therapy Job Description : Work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, focusing on school services and pediatric therapy clinic.
- Flexible caseload distribution between outpatient clinic and school services based on therapist preference and expertise.
- Expected to manage a clinic caseload of approximately 12 thirty-minute sessions per day, handle 5-6 daily evaluations, or a combination of evaluations and therapy sessions.
- School caseload varies; generally involves working from 8 : 30 am to 1 : 30 pm at schools, followed by clinic sessions from 3 pm to 4 : 30 or 5 pm.
- Ages served in the clinic range from birth to 18 years old, currently up to 12 years; school services cover ages 3 to 11 years.
- Productivity goals set at 70-80%, subject to setting and caseload variations between therapy sessions and evaluations.- Documentation to be completed using Meditech for clinic and SOAP notes or daily data collection for school services.
- Assessments and materials utilized include REEL, DAY-C, TELD4, GFTA3, OWLS2, functional communication profile, and TOLDP5.
- Open communication with the pediatric supervisor to tailor caseloads and scheduling for effective service delivery.- Schools covered may vary with potential caseloads : one small school with 30 direct and 10 monitor students, completed in one day per week, and 5th & 6th grade with 40 direct and 15 monitor students, completed in half a day.
