Job Description North Orange County Community College District is now accepting applications for a Parenting Adjunct Instructor to teach at our North Orange Continuing Education campus in Anaheim, Wilshire, and / or Cypress.
Adjunct faculty are hired on a part-time capacity on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the school and student demand.
The instructor is responsible for providing meaningful quality instruction to students that meet the program and course objectives.
Parenting faculty teach a variety of courses, this includes, but is not limited to 1) parent courses taken with children focused on developmental movement, child development, and parenting skills;
and 2) parenting courses for adults only, focused on building healthy relationships, emotional regulation, mindful parenting, and understanding child behaviors.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in child development, early childhood education, human development, family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development or early childhood education, educational psychology with a specialization in child development, elementary education, psychology, or family life studies;
and two years of professional experience in early childhood programs or parenting education.

Desirable Qualifications Experience teaching adult students and children from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency.
A working knowledge of, and experience with, student learning outcomes and assessment.
Demonstrated success in helping students from historically underrepresented and / or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.
