What’s the job?

CertainTeed is hiring CNC Operators! We are a growing Company building our Wood Center of Excellence for our wood ceilings offerings.

Hours : 3 : 30pm -12am, OT as needed, Monday-Friday

Salary : $19.00 - $22.00 an hour

The position, reports directly to Operations and produces machined wood panels by setting up and operating a CNC machine. Focus includes :

• Reading / interpreting blueprint designs of product to customer specification
• Sets up router to manufacture arts; loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample work pieces.
• Makes tooling adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements
• Periodically checks CNC machine to ensure positioning of tooling stays perfectly aligned
• Maintains equipment by performing routine autonomous maintenance

What do you bring?

• HS diploma, GED
• 3-5 years of CNC operations within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in a team-based environment with little or no supervision
• Methodical / analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational / time management skills
• Attention to detail
• 2 year technical degree in Machine Technology or comparable degree preferred
