About the Department
Part of a comprehensive research university, the College of Law is a dynamic, urban-centered law school located in the heart of Atlanta, only one block from the state capitol. The College of Law has a full-time faculty of more than 45 and enrolls approximately 670 students in its full time and part-time programs. The Law Library serves a wide range of clientele, including law students and faculty, students and faculty from elsewhere in the University, attorneys, judges, paralegals, and the general public. The Library staff consists of eight librarians, a data scientist and eight staff members, all of whom are committed to a high level of service to the faculty, students, and other guests, emphasizing service over collection size.
Position Description
This position manages and directs all daily operations of the Legal Analytics & Innovation Initiative , including programming, curricular development, budget administration, LAII personnel management, and administration of the LAII Certificate. This position will facilitate relationships and contacts with internal and external constituents. As a librarian, they will also support the efforts of the law library in reference and instruction duties as needed. This position is a non-tenure-track faculty member in the College of Law with the status of Law Librarian. The vacancy is open rank, and the expectation is that the finalist will be hired as a Librarian Assistant or Associate Professor.
