Electrical Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Chattanooga TN- Onsite

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

• Hands-on Testing : Conducting end-to-end testing of connected infotainment systems and connected car features.
• Testing real-life scenarios and validating vehicle functions against rigorous test catalogs.
• Performing function-level testing, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting legal requirements (US / Canadian laws).
• Validating software and vehicle functions, including pass / fail evaluations and follow-ups.
• Testing Scenarios : Classifying test cases based on scenarios.
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements through scenario testing.
• Testing connectivity between cars and online services to ensure apps and vehicle functions work properly.
• Additional Testing Areas : Web portal testing.
• Mobile app development testing.
• Software testing within connected systems.

Candidate Requirements :

• Experience : Prior experience in end-to-end testing, particularly in the connected car space, is preferred.
• Experience in related fields (e.g., healthcare, IT, mobile apps) is acceptable if it involves comprehensive testing processes.
• Understanding of vehicle architecture, CAN tools, ethernet, and UIB is ideal.
• Skills and Knowledge : Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with diagnostic and hardware vs.

Certifications :

ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) and ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level (CTAL) are highly desirable.

Certifications should be presented before submission.

Additional Considerations :

• Automotive Experience : Automotive experience is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with strong end-to-end testing skills.
• Candidates without extensive automotive experience should be dedicated and aware of the industry requirements.
• Dedication and Stability :
• Candidates should be clear about their reasons for moving and demonstrate potential stability.
• Level of Expertise : The role is not suitable for junior-level candidates; experienced professionals are required.

Tools and Software :

• Helpful Tools : Familiarity with Jira for tracking test conditions and pre-conditions.
• Experience with various testing environments and specifications.
