Position : Wireless Network Transport Engineer

Location : Hybrid onsite (2 days / week) in Medway, MA

Rate : Negotiable Based on Experience

Duration : 12+ Months; Strong potential for extension

Position Description :

Our client is seeking a Wireless Network Transport Engineer that will focus on the configuration and documentation of Ethernet backhaul routers and switches for wireless fronthaul and backhaul.

Experience with Nokia router is highly preferred.

Requirements :

• Previous experience as a Transport or WAN network engineer, working on wireless backhaul network.
• Advanced knowledge of routing and switching hardware / software.
• Experience with Nokia products such IXR-E, IXR-S, WBX, 7750 preferred.
• Expert knowledge of IPv6.
• Strong IP Knowledge, subnetting, routing protocol, MPLS, includes CLI interface hands-on.
• Previous experience using Granite / XNG / CND or other circuit / path inventory system.
• Knowledge of Nokia router translations tools (, Service Portal).
• Advanced experience with Granite / XNG / CND.

Desired Skills :

• Nokia Certifications (SRA, MRP).
• CISCO Certifications (CCNA, CCIP, CCIE).
• Experience working with DWDM optical systems including Ciena 6500 and Fujitsu 9500.
• CDMA & LTE.
• Transport test equipment experience including JDSU & EXPO spectrum analyzers and path analyzers (OTDR).
