Kingsbury, Inc. was founded in 1912 and is the leader in the design and manufacture of tilt-pad fluid film thrust and journal bearings for all types of rotating machinery, with thousands of installations worldwide. Duties and responsibilities include generating, processing, maintaining, and troubleshooting purchase order requisitions and purchase orders, locating sources and soliciting quotations, procuring materials, repair and operations (MRO) products, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, vendor engineering products, Kingsbury engineered products, and raw materials to Kingsbury and customer specifications. Work in conjunction with the supplier quality engineer to engage new vendors for addition to Kingsbury's approved suppliers list. Make secondary efforts to resolve late orders or issues with vendors. Evaluate price and delivery. Maintain inventory and purchases in accordance with the Kingsbury governance plan. Communicate daily with the purchasing staff and production as to the disposition of open purchase orders. Work in conjunction with the material review board to resolve non-conformities with incoming products. Review, correct, and / or process vendor invoices escalated to the purchasing department. Enter, maintain, and manage vendor item database. Track and report key performance measures for specific purchasing processes as part of continuous improvement. Maintain sound business relationships with vendors to ensure continued business success. Exemplify Kingsbury's safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and act as a safety ambassador. Attend all company required trainings and meetings. Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned. Education and experience : 8+ years relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in supply chain or equivalent. Preferred experience : Master's degree in related field, an understanding of metallurgy and manufacturing prints, and familiarity with Infor Syteline and Autodesk software is a plus.
