Virtual School Psychologist
Location : South Carolina, Remote
Position Type : Full-time, Work From Home Contract
Pay : $45 / Hour
As a Virtual School Psychologist at South Carolina, you will play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students enrolled in our virtual programs across South Carolina.
You will collaborate with educators, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students while working remotely from anywhere in South Carolina.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' academic abilities, social-emotional functioning, and behavioral needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and academic concerns.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with special needs.
- Serve as a resource for educators and parents on topics related to child development, mental health, and learning disabilities.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, develop intervention plans, and make recommendations for additional support services.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to students in need of immediate assistance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, counseling sessions, and interventions.
- Stay informed about best practices in the field of school psychology and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications :
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in South Carolina.
- Experience working as a school psychologist in a K-12 educational setting, preferably in a virtual or online environment.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques for evaluating academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality.
- Familiarity with South Carolina's educational policies and regulations is preferred.
- Comfortable using technology for virtual counseling sessions, assessments, and communication with colleagues and students.
