- Position Highlights*Join our renowned team of pediatric transplantation specialists as the Medical Director of the highest-volume renal transplant program in the nation.
- Responsible for the overall management and direction of the pediatric kidney transplant program, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures and coordination of all aspects of the pediatric kidney transplant program.
- Work closely with other physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure that the program provides high-quality care.* There is an expectation of interdisciplinary collaboration with other transplant services.
- The Medical Director’s responsibilities will evolve with the needs of the program.This position will be through Baylor University as an Associate or Full Professor and will have additional duties and responsibilities within Texas Children’s Hospital.
- Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transplant immunology, experience running a smaller program on their own, or leadership responsibilities within another large pediatric transplant program.
- The ideal candidate will have a history of participation in research and be the featured author in publications.* Directorship of a research laboratory would be a major benefit, and funding within TCH for a laboratory program is available.
- Applicants must have an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree.* Applicants must be board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology* Applicants must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license.
