POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
The Sr. IT Support Analyst will be responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support to end users, participating in infrastructure projects, providing local hands-on support for servers and network devices and managing corporate IT assets for the site.
The position will support the local facility and multiple remote offices as required.
Principal Activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve user PC issues as they arise, document solutions and track appropriately in Service Now
- Provide mid level support and diagnostics for LAN / WAN, server, printer and telephony issues
- Provide enhanced levels of support including targeted end user training
- Perform system administration functions
- Maintain documentation for the local environment including keeping runbooks current with servers, network, ISP (and other vendors) for the site to insure easy availability
- Act as the IT interface to various business groups. Perform monthly IT reviews with the business(es)
- Participation in preparation of SOX control documentation and data collection
- Participation in authoring of Standard Operating Procedures
- Document, present and perform approved change controls
- Participate in key technology initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, deployment of new technologies, etc.
- Occasional participation in off hour IT or business-related activities (ex : upgrades, patches, project implementation, etc.)
- Interface with third party providers (ISP, hardware vendors, etc.) for resolution of incidents, upgrades, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Successful work history with cross-functional groups that align technology activities with organization’s strategic goals.
- Excellent technology troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- General knowledge of IT compliance and governance processes (can include any combination of SOX, FDA, ISO, Cyber Essentials, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal customer service skills
- Ability to maintain the highly secure nature of information technology work.
- Moderate travel is required both in and (less frequently) out of state.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related technical / management field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years experience experience working in support of end-user computing services with specific focus on supporting executive VP VIP levels and their assistants
- 5+ years AD administration experience preferred
