ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT-MENTAL HEALTH URGENT CARE

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Mental Health Urgent Care (BHUCC) team in Philadelphia, PA to work part-time on weekends.

We are a mental health urgent care / walk-in center for adults in need of same-day care that is not an emergency in Philadelphia.

We serve individuals experiencing emotional distress, mental health concerns, and / or substance use concerns. Individuals will participate in triage, resolution-focused services, and aftercare planning to prepare for long-term recovery and connection to ongoing care.

We serve individuals regardless of income or insurance status. Our services do not replace the need for ongoing mental health care;

rather, we aim to reduce avoidable visits to crisis centers and emergency rooms by helping people get the care they need when they need it.

Position Details

The Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Mental Health Urgent Care Manager and will handle a wide range of administrative tasks and assist our staff as needed with the care of clients who come to the Urgent Care.

The Administrative Assistant will :

• be the Hub of the facility.
• handle phone communication and monitor program inboxes.
• provide info about clinic as needed.
• greet and make all guests feel welcome.
• assist with intake and evaluate if crisis intervention is needed.
• navigate our EMR system (AvatarNX).
• open charts.
• check insurance status
• keep manager and team informed of urgent issues
• contribute to the overall effectiveness and organization of the BHUCC daily activities
• complete additional duties as assigned.

Earn $24.05 / Hour.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration is a plus.
• Previous experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues professionally.
• Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday 10 : 30 am to 7 : 00 pm.
