Fast-paced, high volume Emergency department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?-

Work location : 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen TX 75013

Work Hours : Shift is (Nights) 7 : 00 pm-7 : 00 Am, full-time, (3) 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays required

Medical Surgical Department Highlights :

• 25-bed unit
• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
• Fast-Paced, high-volume department cases : include post-surgery care including ortho, spine, plastics, general surgery and general medical overflow patients.
• The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.

Here's What You Need :

Nursing Diploma or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program

BSN preferred

One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.

One year of medical surgical experience strongly preferred

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days Req And

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req

What You Will Do :

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

Assesses the patient

Plans the care of the patient

Intervenes as appropriate

Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

Incorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for information

Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
