Position : Business Analyst
Location : Charlotte (3x / week onsite)
Duration : 6 months (extensions / FTE conversions possible)
Pay Rate : 46.18
MUST HAVE
- 2+ years experience as a Business Analyst with market expertise to help lead, manage, and deploy projects for Global Market Operations.
- Understanding of the business and markets supported by Markets Operations
- Experience driving transformation across the organization with the ability to navigate effectively to deliver on time
- Strong organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize, meet deadlines and also pay attention to the detail
- Ability to analyze and manage large & complex data sets in order to make observations & recommendations for change
- Knowledge of and ability to apply project governance (documentation / reporting, tollgates, identifying risks / watch items etc.) to change
- A mix between a project management experience and Business Analyst experience
DAY TO DAY
We are looking for an experienced analyst to join the team as a Business analysis lead to collaborate with Securities Operations teams, Technology, and Transformation teams in delivering in -depth business and functional analysis and build specifications for target state design.
The role requires a candidate who is comfortable with fluid change , understanding complex product sets and operational practices, developing networks and performing structured analysis to deliver critical requirements.
There will be a high level of stakeholder exposure across Operations, Finance, Technology and the business, in addition to building relationships with various sub team leads.
Up to date industry knowledge on business analysis best practices and fixed income product knowledge is highly sought.
Responsibilities :
- Able to utilize both Business Analyst and Project Management skills in conjunction
- Assisting in managing book of work for Operational line teams
- Process reviews, liaising with tech partners and front office contacts
- For technology / process changes, understanding what considerations would be needed
- Able to go in and see the connection between the different groups (line / tech / front office)
Additional Responsibilities
- Understanding systems migration and how it relates to operations teams
- Designing, mapping current state and building new operational, risk and control processes as required
- Develop strong partnerships across operational functional areas, with project and technology leads and their teams to support the decommission and subsequent migration
- Provide input into functionality changes and automation opportunities
- Perform impact assessments, produce business requirements, UAT scenarios, procedures, training etc.
- Coordination of requirements by ensuring appropriate documentation and sign off
- Pro-actively manage changes impacting scope and identifying and implementing contingency plans as necessary
- Produce management reporting on status and progress and provide support to the project manager as a deputy
- Understanding and evaluate the current state of the GMO reconciliation & tooling capability.
- Resolution and escalation of unmatched trades for Clients
- Timely response to client queries regarding the processing of their trades
- Liaising with other internal departments to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Involvement in ad hoc projects for new processes or industry initiatives
- Breaks investigation and resolution
