Job Description :
Are you a passionate and dedicated School Social Worker ready to support students' mental health and well-being? Soliant Education is seeking a skilled and certified School Social Worker to join our team in Jefferson, MD.
This full-time, on-site role is available for the 2024-2025 school year, and we are looking to conduct interviews ASAP.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group counseling to students across elementary and high school levels.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and effective educational environment.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to students' specific needs.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for students dealing with trauma or other significant issues.
- Facilitate workshops and programs to promote mental health awareness and coping skills.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling (or related field).
- Valid certification in Maryland as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor).
- Experience working with both elementary and high school students preferred.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with empathy and professionalism.
- Knowledge of school-based mental health practices and interventions.
