Job Description
- Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver individualized, evidence-based clinical care.
- Provide patient-centered care that considers population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity.
- Collaborate with patients and their significant others to focus on patients’ goals and ensure they are integral to the care plan.
- Deliver and document safe, quality patient care, promoting professional care delivery.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, promoting inclusive interdisciplinary communication and fostering a respectful clinical environment.
- Support performance improvement, research utilization, and shared governance to enhance patient care quality.
- Complete professional competency assessments, mandatory education, and serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and uphold health system policies and standards.
- Participate in data collection and consult appropriate resources to address clinical practice questions.
- Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum and contribute to the development of protocols for enhanced outcomes.
- Support the efficient use of resources in delivering patient care.
