This position is located at our Providence, RI clinical site. E / O Sat 7 : 30 AM- 4 : 00 PM
Under the general supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist and according to established policies and procedures, this individual will be responsible to perform and ensure appropriate quality control, provide requested films of high diagnostic quality based on the specifics of each case, interact effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians and their staffs, and fellow employees while maintaining the best possible patient flow and throughput at all times. JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Physical dexterity and strength to operate all types of MR related equipment, properly position patients and handling of patient films and files.
- Conceptual ability to determine means of providing requested studies based on the specifics of each case.
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and / or emotional stress, referring physicians and staff, the radiologist, fellow employees, supplier and service representatives and any and all others who they come in contact with during the course of the business day.
- Organizational skills as required by the position.
- Analytical skills to compile and interpret data.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide proper patient care.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills to perform exams as outlined by governing bodies and RIMI protocol.
- Bilingual is preferred, but not required.(Spanish / Portuguese)
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS : Must be ARRT registered; MR Certification. IV experience required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Walks and stands intermittently throughout the day.
May lift and position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds. Ability to move patients from scanner table and transport patients in wheelchairs and / or stretchers.
Ability to crouch, reach and lift to allow appropriate manipulation positioning and placement of ancillary equipment. Will have exposure to high magnetic fields and cannot have any physical condition that would be aggravated by magnetic fields, acoustic noise and occasional RF exposure.
The ability to work in Zone 3 and Zone 4.
