Job Summary
The Billing Representative is responsible for insuring assigned accounts receivable functions are performed within the targets for day’s outstanding, billing windows, percentage of A / R and cash.
They will also perform A / R related assignments including those that are complex in nature where considerable judgment, analysis and initiative are required.
Responsible for conducting all quality assurance efforts in preparation for billing / chart audits.
Pay Range
Minimum $20.53 Midpoint $27.19 Maximum $33.86
Experience
- Required : Minimum two (2) years of accounts receivable / customer service experience with at least one (1) year of recent experience in healthcare billing and collections to include : computerized healthcare systems, cash receipts, private collections, Medicaid, Medicare, managed care and traditional insurance.
- Preferred : Three (3) years of accounts receivable / customer service experience supporting healthcare billing and collections.
Education
- Required : High School Diploma / GED or equivalent.
- Preferred : Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Training
Required : None required.
Specialized Skills
Required : Intermediate skills in using Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Effective verbal and written communication skills;
interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, well organized, detail oriented and able to appropriately prioritize.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Preferred : Bilingual.
