Leadership &Supervision :
- Superviseand manage nursing staff in the Labor & Delivery unitensuring that all patient care is provided according to hospitalpolicies procedures andstandards.
- Foster a positive workenvironment that encourages teamwork professional growth andpatientcentered care.
- Provideguidance coaching and feedback to nursing staff and conductperformanceevaluations.
PatientCareManagement :
- Ensurethe delivery of highquality compassionate care to all patients inthe Labor & Deliveryunit.
- Monitor patient care to ensurecompliance with established policies procedures and standards ofcare.
- Address patient care issuesand concerns promptly providing resolutions that prioritize patientsafety andsatisfaction.
OperationalManagement :
- Overseedaily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit includingstaffing scheduling and resourceallocation.
- Manage departmentalbudgets and expenses ensuring costeffective use ofresources.
- Collaborate with otherdepartments to coordinate patient care and optimize resourcesutilization.
QualityImprovement &Compliance :
- Implementand monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patientoutcomes andsatisfaction.
- Ensurecompliance with all regulatory accreditation and hospitalstandards.Participate in risk management activities and developstrategies to
- minimizerisks to patients andstaff.
Education& StaffDevelopment :
- Identifyeducational needs of staff and coordinate ongoing training anddevelopment programs.
- Promotecontinuous learning and professional development opportunities forthe nursing team.
- Keep current withdevelopments in nursing and obstetric care integratingevidencebased practices into theunit.
Requirements
- Bachelorof Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree in Nursing orrelated field preferred.
- Minimum of35 years of clinical nursing experience in Labor &Delivery.
- Previousleadership or management experience in a hospital setting ispreferred
- CurrentRN license in the state ofGeorgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationsrequired.
- Strong leadership andinterpersonal skills.
- Excellentcommunication problemsolving and decisionmakingabilities.
- Ability to workeffectively in a fastpaced and highstressenvironment.
- Proficient inelectronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcaretechnology.
