ACCOUNTING - PAYMENT SERVICES SPECIALIST

The Payment Services Specialist - APV Audit position provides support for accounts payable functions within the NDSU Accounting Service Center.

Duties include audit and approval of paper, electronic, and AP workflow accounts payable vouchers. Audit and approval of domestic and international wire voucher payables and Journal Voucher payables.

Auditing focuses on reviewing proper entry and information of invoice dates, account / funding information, amounts, supplier information and 1099 reportable information.

Audits are in the form of in-depth analysis of supporting documentation, funding sources, and compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.

This position assists the VPFA office as needed. The position will also provide excellent service to customers (departments, students, and external) via face-to-face, phone and email.

Work Schedule :

Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm (regular school term) and 7 : 30 am to 4 pm (summer and breaks)

Minimum Qualifications :

• Associate's degree in related field OR
• 3+ years of direct experience that provides the knowledge, skill, and ability to successfully perform the job duties

Preferred Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree
• Major Field of Study or Degree Emphasis : Business, Accounting or related field. Actual work experience in a business field can be used in lieu of this degree requirement
• 3+ years of directly related experience in accounts payable and travel & expense
• Experience working in a higher education setting
• PeopleSoft / Oracle Experience
• Preferred knowledge of policies and regulations of GAAP and financial related policies, rules, and regulations
