job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults and Pediatrics Patient Volume / Census : 32,000 annual ED volume Case Mix : General Emergency Medicine Trauma Level : Level III Trauma Center EMR System : Meditech Specialty Backup Available : Cardiovascular, Orthopedics Support Staff Available : 32 hours of physician coverage + 32 hours of NP / PA coverage daily Reason for Coverage : Full-Time Vacancy Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Rate : TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance General Emergency Medicine procedures as applicable History of ATLS required; ACLS and PALS if not EM Boarded Licenses : Active VA license and DEA required to start Certifications : ABEM or AOBEM; ACLS, ATLS, and PALS if not EM Boarded Experience : Must be board certified or board eligible within 7 years of residency completion Other Qualifications : Will cross-credential at LewisGale Christiansburg Provide emergency medical care at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery and Christiansburg ED Work a flexible schedule across day, evening, and night shifts Collaborate with APPs and other staff to provide timely and high-quality emergency services Maintain documentation within Meditech EMR system Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and emergency medicine standards
