About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse - Nursery Level 2B Job Specialty : Special Care Nursery & Newborn Care Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 Hours D / E / N (Rotate Days / Evenings / Nights) & Every Other Weekend with 1 Night of Call Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 3 years License : Registered Nurse (RN) License Certifications : BLS & NRP Must-Have : 2+ years of NICU experience Job Description : Work in a 25-bed unit encompassing Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, Operating Rooms, and Anesthesia Rooms.
- Rotating shifts required, with day rotations from 7 am-7 pm, 11 am-11 pm, 7 pm-7 am.- Evenings and nights do not rotate.
- Clinician to patient ratios : Labor & Delivery 1 : 2-3 for evaluations, 1 : 1 for active labor, magnesium infusion, or epidural;
Postpartum 1 : 3-4.- Responsible for patient population including mothers and babies.- Manage patient census averaging 15-25 mothers, babies, and labor.
Use EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) for charting and document patient care.
