We offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to patients 15 years of age and older. RHI is the only Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model System in the state of Indiana and one of only 16 in the U.

SUMMARY
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the provision of Occupational Therapy services for an inpatient and / or outpatient population from age 15 and older including, but not limited to, evaluations, evidence-based intervention, equipment recommendations and modality application under the referral of a physician or qualified non-physician provider.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Administers OT evaluations to inpatients and / or outpatients and determines appropriate treatment programs and / or equipment needs, integrating age specific needs and issues for physical medicine rehabilitation population.
- Develops a patient-centered treatment plan based upon the evaluation, patient goals and age-related issues / needs to optimize treatment and function.
Responsible for assuring the treatment plan supports medical necessity and incorporates evidence-based treatments and outcome measures.
Responsible for ensuring the treatment plan is revised / updated appropriately per policy, communicated to appropriate team members including attendance at team conferences, and reviewed and signed off by referring physician (as appropriate).
Accurately completes documentation in compliance with department and regulatory timelines to ensure a complete medical record that supports skilled services and appropriate medical necessity.
Charges appropriately for services provided and appropriately documents outcome measures.
Provides clinical supervision, including but not limited to coordination of care and delegation of duties, to assistants, techs, and students according to state / federal regulations and hospital guidelines.
Responsible to assure that patient care interventions provided by assistants and students are appropriate for the patient's plan of care.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must possess an Occupational Therapy Degree from an accredited program.
- Must be registered / certified by National Board for Certification of OTs
- Occupational Therapist IN state license required.
- Must have current CPR certification in accordance with AHA standards or be able to obtain within 4 weeks of start date.
- 1 year adult neuro rehab experience preferred.
