Great! We’re looking for top talent to grow with our firm. Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do : TranSystems is excited to announce we are actively searching for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Marine Industrial Department.
If you have Industrial, Piping, or Process Engineering experience that would be a plus. Performing design / analysis. Including Plant Layout (industrial, chemical, or manufacturing) and General Arrangement Drawings.
Developing 2-D drawings for construction bidding and construction Developing process flow diagrams, piping, and instrumentation diagrams.
Material handling and processing equipment selection / procurement. Processing piping, pump layout / design, general electrical and instrument and control design.
Preparing contract documents. Performing evaluation studies and developing reports. Preparation of specifications. Performing field work during design, analysis, and construction phases.
Performing submittal reviews including equipment fabrication drawings. Preferred experience in 3-D model development for conceptual layout and client presentations.
Preferred experience in HVAC / Industrial ventilation calculations and design. Preferred experience in pump, blower, compressor, fan sizing Additional experience in generic structural equipment design a plus.
Additional experience in electrical design and control & logic design a plus. Coordinating auxiliary design requirements with related disciplines.
Assisting Project Manager in monitoring project tasks to maintain budget, schedule, and scope of work. Qualifications What you bring to our firm : 5 or more years of experience as a mechanical, chemical, industrial, electronics engineer.
Experience with MS Office, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, or other similar 2-D / 3-D pipe design software. Familiar with pipe stress and flow modeling software.
Effective communication skills. Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
