Job Purpose : The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for the hands on training of all new personnel and other warehouse employees.
The Warehouse Trainer will be responsible for training on best practices and providing on the job training to employees.
Also this person will have the opportunity to participate in scout assignments across the network as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide on the job training to equipment operators and other warehouse employees.
- Conducts training sessions for new hires and provides on-going hands on training to warehouse pickers and employees.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
- Well versed in all warehouse functions
- Ability to plan and schedule tasks and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Maintains all training records for required regulatory purposes and mandatory internally required instruction.
- Perform work safely and in accordance with company and customer standards and safety regulations. Report unsafe conditions or accidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Understands various teaching methods and can provide constructive feedback, while maintaining a positive rapport with employees.
- Conduct all monthly safety refresher training.
- Conduct all post-accident safety refresher training.
- Must be willing to work off shifts as needed for training demands.
- Will also operate as forklift operator as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements :
Basic Knowledge of training techniques, or job training.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED.
Education and / or Experience Required :
- High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- At least 6 months experience
