Responsibilities
Northwest Specialty Hospital , an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 3 Sharlands Ave.
in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services.
Our acute rehabilitation services include occupational, speech, and physical therapy for adults recovering from stroke, injury, or another disabling condition.
We offer advanced treatment for a wide range of conditions including stroke, brain injury, amputation, neurological disorders, major multiple traumas and spinal cord and back injuries.
All patients will experience private rooms, have access to a newly renovated therapy gym, and personalized care from our qualified staff.
This Dietary Lead opportunity is full time at hours per week and offers full benefits. This position is for our New Rehab Hospital located in Northwest Reno.
Under the general supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director and Supervisor directs and coordinates activities of kitchen and staff preparing, cooking, and delivering foods for the hospital patients, staff and visitors.
REsponsible for training new employees. Ability to work in every area of the department to fill in where needed.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Assists in implementation of departmental and facility policies and procedures as well as standards of work.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and conducts ongoing training to departmental personnel.
- Maintains proficiency in all techniques and equipment used by the food and nutrition services department.
- Ensures that quality standards are met by inspecting completed work, temperature compliance, food presentation, recipe compliance, expiration date compliance, etc.

About Universal Health Services :
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- ServSafe certificaiton within 6 months of hire
- Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) preferred
