Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of safety experience in construction (electrical preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA rules and construction safety.
  • Experience with electrical hazards, PPE, lockout / tagout, confined spaces, and trench safety.
  • Good communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes is a plus.

Safety Coordinator – Summary

The Safety Coordinator helps keep job sites safe by making sure employees follow OSHA rules and company safety policies. They train workers, inspect sites, investigate incidents, and support safety programs. This role works closely with project teams and safety leadership to build a strong safety culture.

Main Responsibilities

Training & Site Safety (50%)

  • Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Visit job sites daily to spot and fix hazards.
  • Make sure employees work safely.
  • Record safety issues and follow up on corrections.
  • Coach teams on safety expectations.
  • Compliance & Safety Programs (25%)

  • Stay up to date on OSHA and safety standards.
  • Help update company safety policies.
  • Create safety plans for specific job sites.
  • Make sure safety rules are followed across all locations.
  • Support safety incentive programs.
  • Incident Investigation & Reporting (20%)

  • Investigate accidents and near misses.
  • Write reports and share findings with leadership.
  • Keep accurate OSHA records and safety documentation.
  • Other Duties (5%)

  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
  • Compensation :

    $35 / hr to $40 / hr.

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
